A hidden treasure in the centre of Wimborne is the Garden Tea Room at the museum. Access to the tea room will be free for any tea room customers every Wednesday throughout February. There is a separate admission charge for visitors to the house and museum.
Set in the beautiful and idyllic walled garden, which features old varieties of fruit trees and colourful herbaceous borders, the Garden Tea Room offers a calm retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Its seated patio provides an outdoor space to enjoy throughout the summer.
Tea room visitors can choose from a selection of freshly ground coffees, a cup of tea or a range of traditional cold drinks. Homemade cakes, soup and baked potatoes are just some of the delicious treats on offer, along with a cream tea and a Gardener's Tea. The menu features a range of local Dorset products. Visitors are welcomed and served by the tea room's friendly staff.
