Discover a Hidden Gem

The museum's annual ticket offers so much more.

Garden activities

The museum is located in the heart of the beautiful market town of Wimborne. Visitors pay once to visit as many times as they like for the next 12 months.

Costing £5.75 (concessions £4.75), the annual ticket can be used during the museum's normal opening hours, with the exception of some special events and ticketed events. Children go free.

Visitors of all ages can discover stunning Roman wall paintings, the fascinating childhood gallery and a unique Victorian Valentine card collection. They can explore period rooms from a 17th century hall to the working Victorian kitchen, finding out how life and work has changed in this historic townhouse.

There is a changing programme of exhibitions. 'Hats for All Occasions' runs until Christmas for all those interested in fashion through the ages.

It is also a chance to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our wonderful walled garden. Its hidden alcoves and secluded lawns also feature heritage fruit trees, colourful herbaceous borders, a traditional vegetable patch and a glimpse of the river Allen.

Ticket holders can visit the Garden Tea Room where its friendly staff serve tasty light lunches, afternoon teas and a selection of cakes.

This is a wonderful chance to take a peek behind the museum's High Street façade and discover a secret treasure.
