Feral

SISATA and Doppelganger Productions present an outdoor production of 'Feral', a new Gypsy-Folk musical drama on the timeless theme of wanderlust.

SISATA and Doppelganger Productions present an outdoor production of 'Feral' at the museum on Sunday 2 June 2019 at 6.30pm. 'Feral' is a new Gypsy-Folk musical drama on the timeless theme of wanderlust.

'Feral' is by award-winning playwright John Foster, director Charmaine K Parkin and developed alongside singer-songwriter Hui Hue and harpist Caolan Walpot.

Exploring racism, community, the gypsy experience and the conflict between logic and intuition, this compelling one-woman show follows the story of 18 year old Simone as she is gripped by a magnetic and overwhelming wanderlust.

Forced by powerful and disturbing impulses to abandon her family and travel in the open, Simone runs away from home and ventures into the wilds of the Dorset landscape.

Living rough and stealing money and food to survive, Simone weaves an erratic trail, moving across the contours of the land and meeting an ensemble of characters - some supportive, others antagonistic and even threatening. But her luck cannot hold forever and the police are soon in pursuit, along with her past.

Tickets priced at £12 (concession/child £10) are available from Wimborne Tourist Information Centre or on 01202 886116 or by visiting www.ticketsource.co.uk/sisata. Places are limited. The performance is suitable for ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
