The museum is the venue for an exhibition of paintings by members of the Corfe Mullen Art Group from Monday 5 to Saturday 10 August, 10 to 4.
The Corfe Mullen Art Group is a small group of local amateur artists who work in a variety of media to produce a wide range of paintings. The group holds exhibitions twice a year and has permanent displays at the Corfe Mullen cafe and the Allendale Community Centre in Wimborne Minster. The group meets each week on Fridays from 10 to 12.30 at the village hall in Corfe Mullen.
Paintings can be purchased during the exhibition.
Admission is £4.50 for adults and £3.50 for concessions (up to two children aged 5-18 go free with one full paying adult or concession - additional children £1 per child). This annual pass can be used as many times as a visitor likes during the museum’s normal opening hours, with the exception of some special events and ticketed events. Discover stunning Roman wall paintings, the fascinating childhood gallery and a unique Victorian Valentine card collection as the museum tells the story of East Dorset. Explore period rooms from a 17th century hall to the working Victorian kitchen, finding out how life and work has changed in this historic townhouse. Wander through a beautiful and peaceful walled garden. Our gift shop and tearoom complete any visit.
