The museum is the venue for Graham Roger’s storytelling performance of ‘Sinbad the Sailor’ on Friday 23 August, 7.30pm.
Sinbad the Sailor is a young man who sails off to gain a fortune; but how, as he struggles from monstrous disaster to precarious predicament? This is a tale full of strange and wondrous creatures, laughs and colourful intrigue.
Graham Rogers is a professional storyteller, performing at clubs, schools, museums, libraries and many other places for many years. He’s particularly popular, with family audiences, where he can entertain all ages with his adventures full of thrills, props, audience involvement, music and laughter.
Tickets cost £6 for adults and £4 for children, and include entrance to the museum. The house and museum will be open from 6.45pm. Refreshments can be purchased from the garden tearoom, which will be open before the performance and during the interval. Booking is recommended as places are limited. The museum’s annual pass is not valid for this event. The performance is suitable for adults, families and children aged 7 years and over.
