Calling all budding archaeologists. The museum is the place to be for some archaeological family fun, on Saturday 20 July from 10 to 4.30, as we celebrate the Festival of British Archaeology.
Have a go at making a coil pot or handle some real archaeological finds. You will also be able to put on a hard hat and try your hand at our mini archaeological excavation. There will be something for everyone, with quizzes, trails and hands-on art and craft activities. Our garden tearoom will be open to serve delicious cakes, cream teas and drinks.
Admission is £2 (FREE if you have a valid Young Archaeologists’ Club membership card).
The Festival of British Archaeology is co-ordinated by the Council for British Archaeology.
If you would like any further information please contact the museum.
